In November 2023, we announced the launch of our Contractor ADVANTAGE General Liability (GL) program in California and Texas. Our ADVANTAGE GL program rounds out the coverage options we provide to contractors with our STANDARD, PLUS, and PREMIER products.

We are pleased to let our broker partners know that we have expanded our footprint and the ADVANTAGE GL program is also available in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.

What Makes the ADVANTAGE GL a Good Fit for Your Contractor Clients?

In developing the ADVANTAGE GL product, we offer brokers the ability to provide contractors with programs that respond to their complete business life cycle – from startups to larger, more established firms. For example, our STANDARD GL program may be ideal for a contractor starting out, but as the business expands and takes on more and larger projects, you can provide broader coverage with an ISO-based form and higher limits with the ADVANTAGE GL program.

The program is based on a client’s gross receipts, up to $5 million. Projects that involve subcontractors, three exterior stories, and tract work are within the program. More than 35 classes are eligible for our ADVANTAGE GL program, including carpentry, general contractors, plumbing, and roofing. You can see a complete list here. New ventures are accepted for most classes.

The ADVANTAGE GL program provides limits of $1MM/$2MM/$2MM/$1MM, up to $300,000 for Fire Legal Liability, and $10,000 for Medical payments. Coverage is written on an occurrence basis with an A rated carrier.
