ISC Gets Together with Wholesalers, the E&S Industry at WSIA’s 2023 Annual Marketplace

The Wholesaler & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) held its Annual Marketplace in San Diego September 18-20. ISC was excited to once again be a part of the yearly event, where more than 7,500 industry colleagues attended. It was an opportunity for us to meet with many wholesale partners, carriers, and reinsurers, network, and enjoy Southern California’s picturesque city.

WSIA is a world-class member service organization representing the wholesale, specialty, and surplus lines industry. The 2023 Annual Marketplace was held at both of San Diego’s convention centers to accommodate the huge turnout of attendees.

ISC hosted two events in addition to the meetings our staff held. We invited about 35 people for a dinner cruise around San Diego Bay, considered one of the best natural harbors on the West Coast. We sailed for about three hours around the bay, which is about 12 miles long and one to three miles wide. We enjoyed cocktails, a lovely dinner by a local chef and incredible views.

We also hosted 250 people at our annual cocktail party this year, which was held at the rooftop Japanese eatery Lumi, where world-renowned Michelin-starred chef Akira Back prepared scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and sushi. It was such a great opportunity to meet with partners, new and old. This cocktail party is getting so popular, we may have to find an even bigger venue next year.
