ISC’s Brokers and Wholesalers Council Headed East in Early September

In February, we held our first Broker Council on the West Coast in West Hollywood, California, where some of our top brokers and the ISC team met to share ideas and feedback and we showcased our recent tech advances. Earlier this month, it was time for us to meet with our East Coast brokers.

We held our East Coast Brokers and Wholesalers Council in New York City on September 5 and 6 for top-performing brokers and wholesalers to hear from them directly about their experience with ISC and the market. It was also an ideal time to fill them in on our new programs and complete offering, along with the advances in tech we are making.

Our first evening was spent at a Yankees-Detroit Tigers game where we watched Yankees right fielder Giancarlo Stanton hit his 400th home run. We had a great time getting to know one another face to face and enjoyed lots of ballgame fare.

Vince Papale, a former football wide receiver with the Philadelphia Eagles and the inspiration behind the 2006 film Invincible, was our keynote speaker the next day. The audience enjoyed listening to his story of how, without having played college football, he got the last roster spot on the struggling team. He played for the Eagles for three seasons.

Our Tech Advances on Display

Matt Grossberg provided an overview of ISC and its vision for growth, including the technology advances we are making with our ISCx platform and Broker Center. ISCx is the next evolution of ISC’s online MGA platform and will serve as a one-stop resource for brokers to access and obtain quotes for all of our programs. Currently, our small group of agency beta testers can submit business for our Premier General Liability and Excess programs. We are also working on workflows that our underwriters and brokers need – from post-submissions to policy binds.

We demoed our Broker Center, a platform designed for brokers to view their production with ISC to help them grow their book of business. For example, brokers will be able to see how many accounts they are writing with us each month, whether their quote-to-bind ratio is improving, and if their cancellation rates are high. The Broker Center is in beta-testing mode and will be ready for everyone soon.

In addition, we held a roundtable session with our brokers and wholesalers to discuss their needs, the state of industry, what they are currently experiencing in this environment, how we can improve, and what the industry can do better. We received excellent feedback from everyone.

Our Next Council Takes Place in May 2024

ISC’s next council will take place in May 2024, where we will invite both our East and West Coast top performers and wholesalers to a consolidated event. We will hold separate sessions for our brokers and wholesalers and are planning engaging entertainment, networking events, and learning opportunities.
